Roma I is a one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic bowl measuring 12 × 12 × 2.75 inches. Its composition is structured through concentric bands of geometric ornament, Roman-inspired motifs, textured black fields, and bold accents of red, green, ivory, and gold. Repeating medallions and figurative elements create a strong sense of rhythm, while the central image anchors the piece with a ceremonial, almost heraldic presence.

Inspired by the visual language of ancient Rome, Renaissance ornament, and traditional Italian majolica, Roma I combines aged earthen surfaces with luminous gold embellishments that emphasize the layered architecture of the design. Created entirely by hand, it is a singular ceramic work intended as both a sculptural object and a collectible statement piece.
