Taormina I is a one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic lidded jar measuring 7.5 × 7.5 × 4.625 inches. Its surface is built through stacked bands of floral imagery, geometric pattern, carved-looking texture, and richly layered ornament, creating a sense of rhythm from base to lid. Deep black and earthen tones are contrasted with burgundy, teal, blue, and warm ochre, while luminous gold embellishments highlight the transitions between each decorative band.

Inspired by the ornamental traditions of Sicily and historic Italian ceramics, Taormina I brings together pattern, texture, and color in a singular sculptural form. Created entirely by hand, it is both a functional vessel and a collectible work of ceramic art.
